Supported Industries

JAS Precision has experience in installing a number of types of networks in a variety of different industries. These include schools and institutions, hospitals and businesses, telcom, CATV, utilities, and state road installations. Projects include ring configurations, point-to-point installations, CWDM, optical design, fiber splicing, testing, installation of equipment, testing and documentation. Here are a few examples.

Cobb County School District network, completed in 2009, a ring configuration and point-to-point network connecting 126 buildings and using over 200 miles of fiber.

Cherokee County School District network, completed in 2007 a system that included optical design, fiber splicing, testing, installation of equipment, testing and documentation connecting 44 buildings.

Other projects include work for Peco (Exelon) the Philadelphia utility company where JAS performed ADSS Splicing for its underground transformer monitoring system, OPGW fiber splicing, and a J&J new network ring, Level (3). Additional contracts have included Comcast Cable, Bucks, and Montgomery and Delaware Counties where tasks included node reduction, new builds, and hub collapsing.

JAS continues to assist these enterprises as needed when trouble arises with the systems, including outages due to damaged fiber or equipment, and as always safety is our number one priority.
